SMA Extended Warranty

If you choose an SMA extended warranty, we provide prompt support at no cost even after the 5-year manufacturer's warranty expires. The extended warranty includes the following services:

SMA Replacement Device: The inverter is set up to receive all updates and is a perfect match for your PV system.

SMA Service Line: Our employees conduct an error analysis and initiate the inverter replacement.

Inverter Exchange Procedure

Quick help with technical problems

The yield of your PV system is very important to us. If an SMA device should fail, we will do everything to solve the problem as quickly as possible.If your inverter does not work our Service Line will check if an exchange is required. We aim to send out a replacement inverter within 48 hours. All replacement inverters are technically up-to-date. In this way we ensure the trouble-free operation of your system.Please contact the local SMA office directly; call 08600 SUNNY (78669) or send an email to Service@SMA-South-Africa.com (Please note that the Service Line will ask you for the serial number of your device and the error code the device is showing)

The Service Line will carry out a troubleshooting procedure and establish whether an exchange is required, please wait until you received the replacement unit before returning the defective device. This way you can make sure you can swap possibly required components, which might not necessarily accompany the replacement.
